19th Edition
Hey guys,
I hope that you practiced some self-care and got some much needed rest and relaxation over the holiday. Maybe you got to have a long weekend with family or friends, or MAYBE you got to sit in silence for a few hours on a Monday that you would normally be working...whatever you chose to do with your Labor Day, we hope you spent it well, because you deserved it...and for those who had to work...We see you, appreciate you, and we feel your pain,
So...lets talk about 2020, shall we? Is anyone else ready to push this dumpster fire off of a cliff yet?!
So as if COVID wasn't enough stress, now we have SO MANY MORE THINGS.
Aside from the political stress that often fatigues our clients (and maybe even ourselves)...we have lost some pretty important public figures lately.
Our clients can experience significant grief following the loss of a beloved athlete, actor, musician, politician, etc. and we wanted to highlight that these themes may begin to arise within your sandtray sessions.

The sandtray room provides a safe space for your clients to explore their feelings of grief and loss without judgement, and to find validation, courage, and healing through regulation and the neuroception of safety that you, as a clinician, facilitate.
As we struggle with the continued heaviness of 2020, practicing in the new normal, and grieving big losses with our clients, remember that we are all in this together. Have any more big themes of grief, loss, or anxiety coming up in your trays? Head over to the Sandtray Movement facebook page and let us support you!
