It’s 2020, Y’all!
2019 was HARD...
...But as practitioners, and just humans living in the world today, hardships and missteps are bound to happen. It's what we choose to do with these experiences that shape our outlook, growth, and ability to do the work we do on a daily basis...which, let's face it, is pretty tough...
The new year is often a time that we use to reflect on the previous year, and set goals, or resolutions, for the year to come.
Did you know that using the sandtray can be a powerful tool for exploring and setting these intentions?!
That's exactly what I did , and I decided to revisit this exercise to reflect on 2019 and set fresh goals for 2020.
Do you want to see what it looked like?
We are all about getting real and getting vulnerable here at Southern Sandtray.
I believe that in doing so, we are better able to show up for our clients and practice with authenticity.
So I challenge you, click the link above and see how I used the sandtray to dare greatly, live authentically, and show up in a real way for the things that I'm passionate about (like promoting sandtray therapy and bringing training and education to therapists like YOU!)...
Will you join me? We would love to see your trays as you set your intentions and goals for the new year!
Here's to an amazing 2020!
Featured Miniatures
This edition's featured minis are all about renewal, growth, and keeping with the spirit of bringing more of what you want into your life in the new year. We've even given you some directive ideas for each!
The Child With Adult - This miniature could hold a lot of different meanings. For this edition, we are focusing on the inner child.
Possible Directives: What does the younger part of you want, or need, to do or know in 2020? How can you nurture your inner child in the upcoming year?
The Silver Platter - This miniature could be utilized to represent goals or desires for the new year.
Possible Directives: What do you want to happen in 2020? If this silver platter represents what you want to have in 2020, what would you put on it?
